17:55 bencomp pdurbin: I scanned the list mails and notifications
17:55 bencomp quite an increase in traffic :)
17:57 pdurbin oh? :)
17:57 pdurbin I guess that's a good thing. :)

18:01 bencomp 25 emails in two weeks
18:03 bencomp pdurbin: I started my vacation by pushing code coverage to > 5% in two pull requests, but I see they're not assigned yet
18:05 pdurbin bah
18:05 pdurbin but! speaking of code coverage...
18:05 pdurbin bencomp: did you see the coveralls reports?
18:05 bencomp not yet
18:06 pdurbin bencomp: there are some updates to https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/issues/775 with a question from me to you at the end
18:08 bencomp ah yes, I see
18:08 bencomp I scanned the corresponding notification yesterday
18:09 bencomp had a two-day training yesterday and today
18:09 bencomp so I didn't take it all in after the training
18:11 pdurbin no worries and no rush on this
18:11 pdurbin bencomp: it'll be neat to see the code coverage go up one we merge your pull requests
18:25 garnett joined #dataverse
18:53 bencomp pdurbin: in the meantime, I see code coverage went down..?
18:53 bencomp I'm not going to fix that, you know ;)
18:54 pdurbin uh oh. did it?
18:55 pdurbin hmm, yep, appears to have gone from 4.33% to 4.32% - https://coveralls.io/github/IQSS/dataverse
19:09 bencomp hope that my proposal is acceptable to Gustavo, pdurbin https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/issues/775#issuecomment-138672456
19:12 pdurbin makes sense to me
19:12 pdurbin bencomp: I sure hope you don't really feel alone. I've been fixing some raw types here and there.
19:14 bencomp I still see some in SearchIT ;)
19:14 pdurbin d'oh!
19:15 bencomp together alone is close to alone
19:15 pdurbin yeah
19:15 bencomp btw, NetBeans reports 638 to-dos in the code. That number keeps on growing...
19:16 bencomp and I'm going to stop here for tonight - probably see you tomorrow
19:16 pdurbin bencomp: welcome back! :)

19:51 donsizemore knock knock
19:51 pdurbin donsizemore: who's there?
19:51 donsizemore um... interrupting panda?
19:52 donsizemore getting stuck in a test upgrade and hoping for a pointer or two
19:56 pdurbin I can try.
19:57 donsizemore i get through the migrations presteps, and things look good
19:57 donsizemore when i run migrate_users.sql i get a couple duplicate key value errors (which don't seem like a show-stopper)
19:58 donsizemore then, when I run migrate dataverses,
19:58 donsizemore psql:migrate_dataverses.sql:7: ERROR:  insert or update on table "dvobject" violates foreign key constraint "fk_dvobject_releaseuser_id" DETAIL:  Key (releaseuser_id)=(55) is not present in table "authenticateduser". psql:migrate_dataverses.sql:14: ERROR:  insert or update on table "dataverse" violates foreign key constraint "fk_dataverse_id" DETAIL:  Key (id)=(2) is not present in table "dvobject". psql:migrate_dataverses.sql:19: ERROR
19:58 pdurbin hmm
19:59 pdurbin donsizemore: have you already emailed support@dataverse.org about this?
20:00 donsizemore i have a ticket open but they're finalizing steps, i'm just sort of charging through. i run the dataset API command and get a ton of nullpointer exceptions in the log, which i thought were indexing errors. it may not be getting input, but disk usage is growing as it runs
20:01 donsizemore from that point forward the result of every SQL command is 0. if i should stick with the ticket i can do that, just didn't know if i had missed something obvious prior to migrating dataverses
20:02 pdurbin the null pointer problem should be fixed here: catch NPE (during migration) when dataset is null #2496 · IQSS/dataverse@5e5dcf5 - https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/commit/5e5dcf56635c0506cdc58c7b31fcc4f3a2a7a4b2
20:02 pdurbin Migration: NullPointerException when importing a DDI file · Issue #2496 · IQSS/dataverse - https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/issues/2496
20:03 donsizemore excellent - should i just wait for 4.2?
20:03 pdurbin I would.
20:03 donsizemore that's what i wanted to know. thank you =)
20:06 pdurbin oh sure
