08:37 bencomp pdurbin: I uploaded three screenshots to WeTransfer: http://we.tl/ay85fP8ptp (link works for seven days)
08:38 bencomp there's an overview of the project, including the calculated technical debt (525d), number of issues found (including 2 blocker issues)
08:58 bencomp oh, wait, I forgot a few files. Let me share all of them in a different way
08:58 bencomp https://surfdrive.surf.nl/files/public.php?service=files&t=7e3e0ad002d1c3e85e9b0d711b2f6d4b has all screenshots
08:59 bencomp I did get inspired and fixed 5 blocker issues locally already
09:02 bencomp the end result is in https://github.com/bencomp/dataverse/tree/4.3-dev - I didn't even try to open a pull request, given the test stubs in that tree and total changed lines of 1447 additions and 1179 deletions... :) -> https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/compare/4.3...bencomp:4.3-dev

11:00 pdurbin bencomp: 525 days of technical debt?! d'oh!
11:00 pdurbin will this link be around for more than seven days?
11:09 bencomp yes
11:11 pdurbin cool. I've never used SonarQube before. http://www.sonarqube.org suggests that maybe I'd be able to see similar views of the Dataverse code at http://nemo.sonarqube.org ("the online instance of SonarQube dedicated to open source projects"). Does that sound right?

13:19 bencomp pdurbin: that would be great, if possible. It does't look as 'open' as GitHub, Travis or Coveralls so you might need to contact someone to get in
13:20 pdurbin bencomp: well, how did you do it? You have your own installation of SonarQube set up?
13:21 bencomp https://hub.docker.com/_/sonarqube/
13:22 pdurbin bencomp: you spun up your own instance with Docker?
13:22 bencomp pdurbin: yes; with docker-machine on virtualbox
13:23 pdurbin so I don't need Docker installed locally? Docker runs inside virtualbox?
13:24 bencomp you need the docker client, `docker` locally
13:24 bencomp brew install docker
13:25 bencomp brew install docker-machine
13:25 pdurbin ok, now I have Docker version 1.6.0 and docker-machine version 0.1.0
13:25 bencomp I installed the docker toolbox from the website, but that messed up permissions of /use/local/bin
13:26 bencomp hmm, 1.8.3 and 0.41 are latest I think
13:27 pdurbin this isn't the highest priority for me right now
13:27 bencomp I see
13:28 bencomp 35 critical issues in GitHub
13:28 pdurbin bencomp: speaking of priorities, check out this comment I made: https://github.com/waffleio/waffle.io/issues/126#issuecomment-149087524
13:30 bencomp pdurbin: are you using Waffle?
13:30 bencomp hadn't seen it before, but this is interesting
13:32 pdurbin well, https://waffle.io/IQSS/dataverse has been authorized, at least... it's what's adding the "in progress" labels: https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/labels/in%20progress
13:33 pdurbin it's used here: https://waffle.io/crosscite/doi-metadata-search
13:34 pdurbin eating their own dog food: https://waffle.io/waffleio/waffle.io
13:34 pdurbin another example: https://waffle.io/sunlightlabs/design and http://sunlightfoundation.com/blog/2015/08/04/learning-to-design-in-the-open/
13:37 bencomp I recognise the extra labels
13:38 pdurbin it was a mystery to me
13:39 pdurbin bencomp: I just forwarded an email to you about figuring out what was going on
13:40 pdurbin it boils down to "Current automatic work tracking features include... move Issues into In Progress by adding issue number in the branch name" https://github.com/waffleio/waffle.io/wiki/Recommended-Workflow-Using-Pull-Requests-&-Automatic-Work-Tracking
13:42 pdurbin anyway, back to MyData: the "File Downloader" role alone should not be enough for cards of unpublished files to be displayed · Issue #2649 · IQSS/dataverse - https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/issues/2649
