12:36 pdurbin donsizemore: looks like you opened a ticket. good. thanks
12:38 donsizemore @pdurbin just needed to scale the mountain to consult Mr Shib =)
12:40 pdurbin :)
12:40 pdurbin Mr. Shib might need to go meet with Mr. Coffee.
12:42 pdurbin donsizemore: I assume you saw the reply at https://help.hmdc.harvard.edu/Ticket/Display.html?id=240779
12:42 donsizemore @pdurbin i got kevin's reply; i don't have a login to RT itself
12:44 donsizemore @pdurbin sophia and thu-mai were only worried about super-using; it looks like being an admin of the root dataverse makes one a super user?
12:44 pdurbin no. the admin role and superuser boolean are orthoginal
12:45 pdurbin orthogonal*
12:46 pdurbin I tried to explain this at http://guides.dataverse.org/en/4.5/installation/config.html#root-dataverse-configuration
12:46 pdurbin donsizemore: oh, by the way, there's a new "Admin" guide these days
12:46 donsizemore @pdurbin i'm just searching that now. 20 years later i still hear "stupid user" each time i type super user
12:47 pdurbin let's just call it "root" :)
12:47 donsizemore @pdurbin (as a former boss of mine would say any time he used sudo)
12:47 pdurbin sudo make me a dataverse
12:48 donsizemore @pdurbin sudo make thu-mai and sophia superusers (won't matter if they're shib, yes?)
12:49 pdurbin donsizemore: they should remain superusers after converting from local to shib
12:50 donsizemore @pdurbin i'm doing another test migration today so i'll have them convert and check on their status
12:50 pdurbin cool
12:50 pdurbin should work
12:56 pdurbin and the database id of the authenticated user shouldn't change either

13:34 Slava94 Hi Phil, good morning. I have a question on DOIs and handles. I see in https://dataverse.harvard.edu both are supported now (handles for old datasets and DOIs for new). Is it possible to create DOI for already published dataset with handle?

14:05 pdurbin Slava94: I think so. Maybe we can find a dataset that has both a DOI or a Handle. The "Other ID" field may come into play here.
14:07 pdurbin but I'm calling for reinforcements because I don't really know :)

14:27 pdurbin Slava94: I think I'm wrong. Too optimistic. I don't think what you're trying to do is supported. You'd get a better answer by emailing support@datavese.org since I don't know this part of the code.
