Has anyone else faced this exception while trying to deploy dataverse-4.6.war on glassfish server? "remote failure: Error occurred during deployment: Exception while loading the app : EJB Container initialization error. Please see server.log for more details."

Which version of Glassfish are you using? I saw this once on Glassfish 4.0 and somehow upgrading to Glassfish 4.1 fixed it.

The other day I looked at the stacktrace attached to https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/issues/3554 but I'm not sure what's going on. I guess I'd suggested deleting your Glassfish installation and starting over. It's very strange. Maybe someone in #glassfish knows the answer.

donsizemore: all of the institutions in the dropdown at https://dataverse.unc.edu ... do they all work? Have you gotten reports from any places that are in the dropdown due to inclusion in R&S but when users go to log in they get the dreaded error "Problem with Identity Provider The SAML assertion for "givenName" was null. Please contact support."?

donsizemore: for example, Boston College in is your list. Does it work? Can I have someone from BC try logging in to your installation of Dataverse to see if they get the same error. They should.

@pdurbin no one's complained - though we did include two additional institutions who didn't want to be published in R&S and we got that error for them in testing. their ID Mgmt folks thought they had released all necessary attributes

donsizemore: I was telling pameyer that anyone with an ORCID account will be able to log into his production Dataverse installation, which is anyone. The key is to not assign them permissions, for fear of spam.
