17:14 andrewSC how does the dataverse-aws repo work?
17:14 andrewSC It looks like there's hard links to images/containers?
17:14 andrewSC or is it better to go with the ansible repo and roll it out on my own?
17:20 pdurbin telnoratti created the dataverse-aws repo and he's using it just fine
17:21 pdurbin the dataverse-ansible repo works fine too
17:22 pdurbin andrewSC: what are your requirements? What would help you decide between them?
17:23 andrewSC maintaining version parity with whatever is stable/latest, not having to constantly maintain it
17:23 andrewSC is that what you were asking? lol
17:26 pdurbin well, you mentioned containers
17:26 andrewSC touche
17:26 pdurbin I'm not sure if you plan to use Docker or not.
17:26 andrewSC yeah I don't think we'll need to have this distributed/I think one instance will actually be fine
17:26 andrewSC I don't expect high traffic to be a concern

17:29 pdurbin to me, Docker is extra complexity, but I've barely used it
17:41 andrewSC pdurbin: Yeah I think after talking to the other dev here we're going to go with the ansible route.. Seems like we may end up using the same instance in aws for other projects (since we're trying to be conscious about cost given it's our first year)
17:42 andrewSC no real baseline to see what it costs to run DV in aws 24x7
17:43 pdurbin makes sense

19:01 donsizemore @andrewSC the dataverse-ansible repo works for what its author needed it to do - suggestions and/or augmentation welcome. @pdurbin can give you write access
