14:35 pdurbin bjonnh donsizemore: mornin'. Any thoughts on this issue I opened last week? https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/issues/4040
14:38 donsizemore @pdurbin morning! i support it (and let me know how and where to jump in?)
14:39 pdurbin I'm glad to have your support. :)
14:40 pdurbin I'm going to an openshift class Thursday morning. I'm hoping to learn a bit about docker and kubernetes.
14:41 donsizemore @pdurbin i'm also intensely interested in your move to AWS, for several reasons
14:42 pdurbin donsizemore: such as? :)
14:44 donsizemore Odum is considering it and the pricing wasn't unattractive
14:44 pdurbin oh yeah, I think you sent me some numbers
14:45 pdurbin EBS to expensive? S3 should be cheaper.
14:45 pdurbin too*

15:44 CaseyKoons Hello all. I have been looking through the documentation for an understanding of how an institution sets up a Dataverse inside the Harvard Dataverse.
15:44 CaseyKoons Do any of you run such a dataverse, and if you do, could you share how you set it up?
15:54 pdurbin CaseyKoons: hi! Let's look at the who's who list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16h3jv24usMGq18495C-JA-yNcQCKiKDa65MTraNDd7k/edit?usp=sharing
15:55 pdurbin People here tend to have their own installation of Dataverse.
15:56 CaseyKoons I see.
15:56 pdurbin CaseyKoons: I would suggest posting to https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/dataverse-community but you are welcome to go ahead and ask your questions here. I can try to help.
15:59 CaseyKoons I will post my question there. I have also emailed support@dataverse.org. I want to know how an institution can set up a dataverse inside of Harvard.
16:01 pdurbin CaseyKoons: ok. Have you read "Using Harvard Dataverse for your institution" at https://dataverse.org/institutions ?
16:02 CaseyKoons Yes, I have. It indicates that Harvard hosts other institutional dataverses. I am curious how that type of 'account' is set up.
16:02 CaseyKoons Thank you for your help, again. :)
16:03 pdurbin I don't think you need to create any sort of special account. You just created an account for yourself and create a dataverse. You'll be "admin" of that dataverse because you created it. Then other people from your institution can create accounts and you can make some of them admins too. Does that make sense?
16:07 CaseyKoons That's the impression I have too. I was worried that I might be missing something. Thanks for your help with this.
