14:08 bricas hey all. system emails from dataverse seem to be coming out with this odd "host18.example.com" ending -- can anyone give me a hint as to where that might be happening? We auth via shibboleth, fyi. also, my account email address looks fine in the account info screen, though it says "not verified"

14:32 pdurbin bricas: hi. What version of Dataverse are you running? That bug sounds a lot like https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/issues/4240
14:36 bricas pdurbin: latest (4.8.5) - and yes, it's exactly like that.
14:36 pdurbin bricas: ok. Can you please start by leaving a comment on that issue? Obviously, it should be prioritized.
14:38 bricas done.
14:41 pdurbin bricas: thanks. I'll try to advocate for it during our next backlog grooming meeting. If you really want to get attention on this, I would suggest calling in to the community call tomorrow.
14:54 bricas pdurbin: i'll be at code4lib, actually.
15:00 pdurbin ah, nice. I stopped by their IRC channel a while ago

15:06 pdurbin pameyer is the one who opened that issue
15:06 pameyer yup
15:06 pdurbin Any workaround?
15:06 pameyer bricas: is that breaking sending email for you, or just strange formatting
15:07 pameyer pdurbin: not that I've found; I'm reasonably sure it's a bug

15:09 pameyer from what I've seen, it doesn't stop email from reaching the intended recipients - so it hasn't been too high on my list
15:15 pdurbin pameyer: yeah, I was able to get the email but it went to my spam folder. I just replicated the bug and left a screenshot in the issue
15:16 pameyer pdurbin: thanks
15:17 pameyer I thought I had commit ranges narrowed down at some point; but from my comments on the issue I didn't write them down anywhere
15:17 pdurbin pameyer: no worries. Is it all email or just the welcome email?
15:17 pameyer all email that I've seen
15:18 pameyer and for when; between Jun 2017 and Aug 2017
15:18 pameyer which is less useful than a commit range :(
15:20 pdurbin I wonder if it was https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/commit/1564c74 which was part of https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/pull/4009 for https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/issues/2998 for 4.8
15:20 pameyer that's my current working hypothesis
15:24 pdurbin ok, I left a comment about this. thanks
15:25 bricas pameyer: email still arrives as expected
15:26 pameyer bricas: thanks
