09:10 tcoupin pdurbin: Hi! Are you interested in a map for geospatial metadata (country and bbox)?

15:44 pdurbin cdsp-rmo: I don't mean to keep you from your weekend but I have an update for you on the "plus" bug and your NESSTAR DDI import pull request. Lemme know if you want to chat. :)
15:45 pdurbin pameyer: the exclude email fix is being QA'ed right now

15:48 pameyer pdurbin: great
15:49 pdurbin pameyer: also, I just did a build on phoenix and was able to log in with "admin1". Glorious.
16:37 pameyer it might be just me, but MoveIT looks broken
16:37 pameyer 403 instead of 401
16:43 pdurbin pameyer: it passes on phoenix: https://build.hmdc.harvard.edu:8443/job/phoenix.dataverse.org-apitest-develop/275/edu.harvard.iq$dataverse/testReport/edu.harvard.iq.dataverse.api/MoveIT/

16:44 Cdsp-rmo pdurbin : already left work, but I saw your message on irc log
16:44 Cdsp-rmo The pull request for the fix has been approved and merged to dev ?
16:45 pdurbin Cdsp-rmo: heh. I wish it was merged already. Sorry, not yet. But we're starting to look at it more closely.
16:45 Cdsp-rmo Ah
16:46 Cdsp-rmo So, about what you wanted to discuss ?
16:46 Cdsp-rmo Waiting at train station, got some time ;)
16:46 pdurbin Ah, well, the "plus" fix just got merged: https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/pull/5217
16:46 Cdsp-rmo Was tamking about this one ya :)
16:47 pdurbin So it would be good for you to merge the latest from develop into your "multiple depositors" branch.
16:47 Cdsp-rmo I will monday then
16:47 pdurbin perfect
16:47 pdurbin I expect we'll see more errors.
16:47 pdurbin Since you reported weird errors when using the API.
16:47 Cdsp-rmo Yep
16:48 pameyer pdurbin: isn't that commit 17 hours old?
16:48 Cdsp-rmo What was the problem ?
16:48 pdurbin With the plus button working, we'll be able to exercise those bugs from the UI.
16:48 Cdsp-rmo I saw that there was changes in js ans html
16:48 Cdsp-rmo Nothing on database or java side ?
16:48 pdurbin pameyer: let me kick off another build
16:49 pdurbin Cdsp-rmo: yeah, the plus button is a primefaces fix.

17:06 pameyer pdurbin: thanks, does look good there
17:36 pdurbin pameyer: still failing in Docker, though? I'm testing it now.
17:43 jri joined #dataverse
17:50 pdurbin pameyer: it's almost like it's hanging... haven't seen any output for a while
18:00 pdurbin pameyer: [ERROR] Tests run: 69, Failures: 16, Errors: 3, Skipped: 1
18:12 pameyer huh - that's different than what I was seeing
18:12 pameyer just the email and move IT failures for me - but there might've been merges since this morning
18:14 pdurbin pameyer: I'm fairly confident that something went wrong in the Docker container. A number of these are 500 errors. Do you want the output?
18:15 pameyer not yet - which commit are you on?
18:15 pdurbin c7396f8
18:16 pameyer on cffa47c0c; I was seeing Tests run: 78, Failures: 2, Errors: 0, Skipped: 1
18:17 pdurbin I went ahead and emailed you some output. Before I lose it.
18:17 pameyer weird - c7396f8288e677fd8d4869f8cd4d6bc93d6aa73e was the repo commit, but c7396f8 in the container.  something's not right
18:19 pdurbin ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
18:19 pdurbin Jim__: I see you updated the ORE export to pay attention to "exclude email". Can I give that issue back to QA?
18:19 pameyer ok, making more sense now.  5188's been merged
18:20 pameyer not sure why that would cause a commit mismatch in the container; but it would explain why a bunch of stuff started failing
18:20 pdurbin ok, variables renamed or something
18:21 pameyer jvm-options
18:21 pdurbin ah
18:21 pameyer don't have time to fix it today
18:21 pdurbin no worries
18:22 pdurbin at some point it would be great to have a central dashboard of if docker-aio is passing or failing. on travis or whatever
18:23 Jim__ hang on - testing to make sure it works
18:23 pdurbin it would be nice to have this for vagrant too. to know if dataverse is up at the end of a `vagrant up` or not
18:23 pdurbin Jim__: no rush! Thanks!
18:24 pdurbin Jim__: do you have the power to drag it over if you log into https://waffle.io/IQSS/dataverse ?
18:32 pameyer pdurbin: do you think that's more likely than having a cron job on jenkins?
18:39 Jim__ pdurbin - I see an 'only collaborators can ..' message...
18:41 pdurbin Jim__: bah. Ok. And on the GitHub Issues side you probably don't have any ability to change labels or assignees.
18:43 pdurbin pameyer: we should probably talk it out more in person. The main thing I want is a central dashboard we can all go look at whenever we want. I'm not picky on the technology we use to make that happen. :)
18:43 pameyer pdurbin: even more oddly, I only see the same 2 failures and no errors in docker-aio on c7396f828
18:44 pdurbin weird
18:48 pameyer yup
19:13 donsizemore joined #dataverse
19:55 pdurbin Jim__: thanks for sticking with that "exclude email" issue
20:21 Jim__ I did regret that a bit, but kcondon's review caught that the oai-ore didn't honor the setting either (since it doesn't use JsonPrinter's method)... so all good
20:21 pdurbin well, you didn't know about it
20:22 pdurbin but pameyer will be happy
20:22 pdurbin we added that setting for him
20:22 pdurbin and there's no way to turn off an export
20:22 Jim__ and that's important :-)
20:22 pdurbin well, it's a privacy thing
20:22 pdurbin he doesn't want email addresses leaking out
20:23 pameyer :) just last week I was talking to one of our local folks - and this user was amazed that anyone would want emails addresses leaking out
20:23 pdurbin pameyer: and now that the "exclude email" fix has been merged, the API suite is finally passing again: https://build.hmdc.harvard.edu:8443/job/phoenix.dataverse.org-apitest-develop/
20:23 Jim__ yep - makes sense.
20:23 pameyer invisible assumptions are always tricky
20:23 pameyer thanks Jim__
20:24 pdurbin Jim__: switching gears, Kevin said you're working on resolving merge conflicts in the workflows branch. Need any help?
20:24 Jim__ pamayer - you're welcome, glad you caught it.
20:25 pameyer Jim__ : pdurbin gets the credit, he put the test in there way back in the day
20:26 pdurbin pameyer: well, be warned that only DDI is tested. Not the other formats.
20:26 pdurbin credit to Kevin for checking ORE and the others
20:26 Jim__ as for merging - I think I need remedial help... just getting back to it, but as far as I can tell, my merge with develop didn't work (Eclipse crashed).
20:27 pdurbin yikes, ok
20:27 pdurbin I can suggest that you upgrade to Netbeans. ;)
20:27 pameyer didn't you mean "upgrade to vim"? ;)
20:28 Jim__ I downloaded it and may just do that.
20:29 pdurbin man I love vim for anything that isn't Java
20:30 pameyer once I got ctags and jdb sorted out, it works tollerably well
20:30 pameyer well, except for the code formatting :(
20:32 pdurbin :)
20:32 pdurbin it's too late on a Friday to think about code formatting
20:48 pdurbin have a good weekend, all
20:48 pdurbin left #dataverse
20:51 pameyer pdurbin: docker-aio shows ITs passing too (no move failure anymore)
22:05 pameyer left #dataverse
