Ok, it's fine to participate even if your organization can't provide funding, as long as we can get enough funding from other organizations.

For now we will not allow anyone outside of FZJ to login, so I am thinking of using mod_auth_mellon for now, as it is a lot of less headaches compared to Shibboleth...

@poikilotherm for what it's worth, shib does work with allowing only a single institution to auth to dataverse

I took a very quick look at mod_auth_mellon, and decided doing horrible things with shib was more dataverse-supported
