donsizemore: morning. I'm still at https://devconfus2019.sched.com/philipdurbin but I was able to ssh into Jenkins this morning. Thanks!

donsizemore: cool, these are the *unit* tests, which is a good start. Next we want the *integration* (API ) tests.

I am new to IRC , but I have a question that I haven't been able to find the answer to that I hope someone can help me with. Can I move a nested Dataverse to nest it within another Dataverse in the future?

librarpotter: hi! Yes, it's possible but there is no UI for this. You have to use the API : http://guides.dataverse.org/en/4.15.1/admin/dataverses-datasets.html#move-a-dataverse

That's great news!

Do you know of any code examples for working with any of the Dataverse APIs that aren't curl? (preference for Python, but others would be great too)

^ More context I plan to use the API for creating metadata records for datasets and possibly for uploading files to the dataset records. I have been pointed to using the Native API for this, and examples would be greatly helpful for getting started.

librarpotter: sorry, I'm at a conference (DevConf) so my responses might be a little slow. Can you please leave a comment about this issue I'm working on to improve the API Guide? https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/issues/6086

librarpotter: in addition, it would be fantastic if you create an issue called 'Support "move dataverse" API ' at https://github.com/AUSSDA/pyDataverse/issues

Thank you for your help!

I will create issues as I run into them. My main 1 are examples other then curl in all places and clearer directions for selecting the right API for your need.
