12:52 Virgile hello there
12:53 Virgile Our DPO is asking for the lifecycle of local accounts in dv. Is it possible to delete unused accounts without launching commands directly in the db?
13:24 donsizemore @Virgile Hello =) One may delete a user https://guides.dataverse.org/en/latest/api/native-api.html#delete-a-user provided that the user doesn't own anything in the dvobject table
13:25 Virgile but if the account has an entry in the object table then it's not possible to delete it?

13:52 dmel hello everybody. i have an issue with a persissdentid using datacite. we moved a dataset to another dataverse which created a new DOI. thats an issue because the related paper was already published with the DOI given before the move. we would like to change the DOI to the one in the paper. i see no other way than manually changing the entry in the database. does anybody know which fields in the i would need to modify?

14:10 donsizemore @Virgile correct - if a user has "done" anything (created a dataverse/dataset, uploaded a file) database constraints won't allow the deletion
14:11 donsizemore @dmel off the top of my head I'd recommend you contact support@dataverse.org - it's the "published" part you're up against
14:11 donsizemore @dmel but someone here may have smarter suggestions
14:13 donsizemore @Virgile you may be able to reassign those dvobjects to another owner_id / creator_id then delete the user, but I'll let @pdurbin steer you better
14:14 Virgile i see, thanks you Don!
