13:22 pdurbin sivoais: I'd be interested to hear what you think of Quilt. Within the first seven minutes of this podcast, they wrap up talking about it: http://podcasts.thoughtbot.com/giantrobots/95
13:25 pdurbin from the Quilt guy: "Centralization of data and computation (aka power) is a recent phenomenon. It doesn't have to be so; people are working on change. #TtW14" -- https://twitter.com/cemerick/status/459862156587315200
14:30 sivoais pdurbin: it's not clear yet which exact problem re: data Quilt solves. It seems like the main problem is replication?
14:30 sivoais which reminds me of <http://camlistore.org/>
14:32 pdurbin sivoais: all is explained in the podcast :)
14:32 sivoais I'm listening, but I'm at minute 12 now
14:32 sivoais and it looks like it is going more into it
14:34 pdurbin oh, that far. hmm. by minute 7 they had talked about how centralized data is. how you call into specific APIs
14:34 sivoais hehe, he's going into PDF... which is one of my latest "challenge"
14:34 pdurbin maybe I'll go listen to it again. and I have a four year old chattering in my ear right now
14:46 pdurbin sivoais: yeah, replication is part of the problem, I guess

15:14 sivoais I'll subscribe to updates of it, but I am still skeptical of what it provides over other serialisation/replication methods. Anything to make that as easy as dumping memory would be good.
15:20 pdurbin yeah
