09:18 bencomp where did iqlogbot go?
09:18 bencomp oh there it is

09:41 romainM hello
11:23 * pdurbin gives iqlogbot a treat
11:23 pdurbin ata_t: welcome back. bencomp might be able to answer installation questions as well
11:24 pdurbin bencomp: did we ever decide where to document maintaining the index? I left a comment about this in a doc, I think.
11:36 bencomp pdurbin: in https://docs.google.com/document/d/1GLky44JbtCNhGuavLXGEP8WPNdjbyHNxalEGjR78MaA/edit I answered your comments. I created a section for Administration, but can still see an administration guide separate from the installation guide
12:58 pdurbin bencomp: right. hey, you should have asked equigley about that yesterday :)
12:59 bencomp I was studying last night
12:59 bencomp did my BiSL Foundation exam this morning with a perfect score :D
12:59 pdurbin bencomp: congrats! what is that? :)
13:00 bencomp BiSL is a framework that is more or less the demand complement of ITIL
13:00 bencomp ... is about
13:01 bencomp aslbislfoundation.org
13:02 bencomp the exam was testing my knowledge of the framework on a basic level
13:03 pdurbin for iqlogbot: http://aslbislfoundation.org
13:05 pdurbin bencomp: ok, so very much an IT thing. makes sense. cool
13:05 pdurbin bencomp: how's Dataverse doing from the BiSL perspective? :)
13:07 bencomp pdurbin: well, it's about making sure information management/systems/processes support business processes well
13:11 bencomp our partners chose to use DataverseNL to support their (I suppose) RDM processes in line with their Information Strategies, but their Needs Management processes have triggered Change Management to ask for changes in IT; i.e. they want Dataverse 4
13:11 pdurbin bencomp: sure. sounds very "big picture"
13:12 pdurbin RDM?
13:13 bencomp but they also want persistent identifiers (and they will have to be Handle for the foreseeable future) and metadata export via OAI-PMH to fit their other information architecture
13:13 bencomp research data management
13:14 pdurbin ok, like http://best-practices.dataverse.org/data-management/
13:16 bencomp I see RDM in a more general context; not just the researcher's perspective
13:16 pdurbin sure
