pdurbin: just an update, I checked same dataset in our previous dv3.0 and it doesn't have the https which is same db we just migrate it from it, confusing

soU: oh! I thought of something important. For performance reasons, the exported DDI XML files are stored to disk. That means you'll have to delete them if you want to see a change. Deleting them will force them to be recreated.
11:23
soU
pdurbin:yes that makes sense
11:24
soU
do you know where exactly stored?
11:34
pdurbin
soU: for example: /usr/local/glassfish4/glassfish/domains/domain1/files/10.5072/FK2/PTXXFK/export_ddi.cached
11:50
soU
pdurbin:thank you so much!!
11:50
soU
there is export_ddi.cached and export.ddi.xml. do you think i should remove both?
11:51
soU
export_ddi.xml
11:52
pdurbin
couldn't hurt
11:52
pdurbin
these are the files I have: export_dataverse_json.cached export_dcterms.cached export_ddi.cached export_oai_dc.cached export_oai_ddi.cached
11:54
soU
yes same here
11:55
soU
i think it will be recreated if i remove them all export* right?
11:56
pdurbin
yep
12:21

pdurbin: it works, i think we can close the issue by explaining this. Thank you so much

13:55
pdurbin
soU: ok. Hopefully next time I'll remember about files being cached on disk sooner. :)
13:57
soU
hopefully. and this time i'll also remember so some how i can check oai related questions :)
14:01
pdurbin
soU: how's the upgrade going?
14:02
soU
its almost there. some theming and collecting feedback from stakeholders
14:03
pdurbin
Nice. Is your installation already on the map at https://dataverse.org ?
14:07

soU: ^^
14:09

yes it is

14:11

ah, ok, so you're still on DVN 3.0
14:12
pameyer
pdurbin: at some point, I'd be curious to get your opinion about coverage measurement tools
14:13
soU
we didn't move the name server yet until we are done with feedbacks and some adjustment. we'll move the domain name very soon
14:17
pdurbin
soU: ok, when you do, please be sure to email support dataverse.org so that we update the link on the map. I usually also announce upgrades to Dataverse 4 in the Dataverse Community News. Or you would be welcome to email the Google Group yourself.
14:17
soU
pdurbin: sure will do that
14:18
pdurbin
pameyer: I'm using Jacoco and Coveralls for code coverage. Jacaco works locally on devs' laptop. The Jacoco data is pushed by Travis to Coveralls.
14:18
pdurbin
soU: thanks. You might be interested to know that the data behind the map is available in JSON format: https://services.dataverse.harvard.edu/miniverse/map/installations-json

14:22
pameyer
thanks
14:23
pdurbin
soU: we should take "version" out of there and get it programmatically from https://dataverse.harvard.edu/api/info/version for example.
14:25
pdurbin
pameyer: I went for Travis because it's public. Our Jenkins is a mix of public and private and for a few months or more it was non-public until they fixed it.
14:26

16:38

Hey another thing, you could explain how to do the harvest in dataverse, is that there is a repository under dspace that will harvest but I still do not understand that part, nor how it works in dataverse.
17:19

17:20
pdurbin
Thalia_UM: I'm confused. Are you trying to harvest from DSpace into Dataverse?
17:23
Thalia_UM
The harvesting clients is Dspace, Dataverse should be harvested but I do not know what else I have to do other than enable Harvesting Server so that they can communicate by OAI-PMH
17:23
Thalia_UM
Dspace is other institution
17:25
pdurbin
Thalia_UM: that should be enough. Does it work?
17:25
Thalia_UM
I don't know
17:26
Thalia_UM
No interoperability testing yet
17:27
pdurbin
Ok, please keep me posted.
17:27
Thalia_UM
But we all have doubts about how it works, if it is only enable and already, and what would be the link that we are asked of OAI
17:27
Thalia_UM
Sure Philip :D
17:27
pdurbin
oh, you don't know which link to give them?
17:28
pdurbin

Thalia_UM: "Once the service is enabled, you define collections of local datasets that will be available to remote harvesters as OAI Sets." http://guides.dataverse.org/en/4.8/admin/harvestserver.html
18:12
pdurbin
Thalia_UM: for you the "remote harvester" is DSpace. DSpace is the client. Dataverse is the server.
18:12
Thalia_UM
Exactly
18:13
Thalia_UM
So, I don't use that part?
