09:42 pdurbin juancorr: good morning. Amber wrote about my README idea at https://groups.google.com/d/msg/dataverse-internationalization-wg/2zSl9xDpH7g/289KeyScBgAJ
09:42 pdurbin "Improve README file in github to include list of languages, versions, and primary organization responsible w/ contact info"
09:42 pdurbin Does that make sense?
09:43 poikilotherm :-O
09:43 poikilotherm Good morning pdurbin
09:43 poikilotherm You are up VERY early today...
09:49 pdurbin couldn't sleep... too excited about LibrePlanet, I guess... heading over to the FSF office tonight
09:50 poikilotherm :-)
09:51 pdurbin poikilotherm: did you see https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse-kubernetes/issues/12 ?
09:52 poikilotherm Yeah.
09:52 poikilotherm Do you expect input from me?
09:57 pdurbin Well, are you ok with having tips in the README?
10:05 poikilotherm We could think about writing guides
10:05 poikilotherm Like "go here for minikube" and "go there for EKS" ...
10:05 poikilotherm contained in a "doc" folder and linked from the README
10:06 poikilotherm Keeps the README short and simple
10:11 pdurbin sounds good
10:11 pdurbin Will you be deploying to AWS?
10:14 poikilotherm Nope, we have our own K8S cluster on premises
10:14 poikilotherm We are not allowed to use AWS...
10:15 poikilotherm At least not without major difficulties and huge effort
10:15 poikilotherm But doesn't hurt :-)
10:16 poikilotherm AFK for a while now - lunch :-)
10:20 juancorr Good morning pdurbin. Thanks. It sounds very well for me
10:34 pdurbin juancorr: great. Does it make sense to have a table in the README? Tables are somewhat difficult in Markdown.

11:03 juancorr pdurbin: Yes, I do not see problem with tables.
11:30 pdurbin ok

19:19 pdurbin donsizemore: hi. I just saw your comment at https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/issues/5235#issuecomment-475744449
19:41 donsizemore @pdurbin i got a quiet afternoon(!) and tried to peck off some stuff that had been on my list
19:42 donsizemore oh, and i just saw your comment on java11. once dataverse supports it we can make it the default
19:42 pdurbin cool, for now I just mussed with the title
19:43 pdurbin we can make a fresh issue for java 11 as the default in the future
19:43 pdurbin I might have time to try sample data if you want.
19:45 donsizemore @pdurbin the framework is there; IIRC i was ready to start creating actual sample data. i think i had one of each as a starter pack; the role searches a directory for json to upload
19:46 donsizemore p.s. akio and i took a look at https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/issues/5663 this morning; sticking a timestamp into the 'emailconfirmed' field didn't confirm me and he said the code changes would be much more substantial than i had imagined
19:48 pdurbin donsizemore: ok, so that sample data branch should work. I haven't tried it in ages. Thanks.
19:49 pdurbin bummer about 5663
