00:11	pdurbin	bricas: I just looked at http://guides.dataverse.org/en/4.19/installation/prerequisites.html#solr and I would say that only by implication is an exact version of 7.x is required. Solr 7.3.1 is the version we all use in dev and testing. Newer 7.x versions might be fine. I'm not aware of anyone trying 8.x. Does this help? Please feel free to open issues about a stronger compatibility statement or a newer

18:43	bricas	pdurbin: just seeing your reply now. I think perhaps a short qualifier about the version of solr it was tested against would be nice -- you could also extend that to say that any 7.x "should" work, but 8.x compatibility is unknown. I will file a ticket.
