19:38 posixeleni so trying to rethink the data publication workflow here... so if I understand correctly... as soon as an article would be "approved" for publication that's when the Data Deposit API would send the metadata AND data files over to the Dataverse Network which would generate a Data Citation? Would it be OK if we made the study available on the Dataverse Network then or keep it in "draft" (aka restricted) until the article is actually pub
19:40 pdurbin bah! I have to run but like Jen I'll catch up on the logs
19:40 pdurbin posixeleni: sorry!
19:41 pdurbin posixeleni: but in short... I think we can just keep the study in "draft" for as long as you like... we need to decided when it switches from "draft" to "release"

19:44 posixeleni pdurbin: that's what I want to know as well... do we release when the article is "published" or at the time of article "approval"
19:45 axfelix I'd be in favour of release when approved
19:45 axfelix just because that way we get to still have the data be a bit faster-moving than the article
19:46 axfelix as an article may be approved before the OJS publisher has an entire issue put together
19:49 posixeleni excellent! i like it.
19:50 posixeleni this can be our default and then if journals dont like it we can always adjust the release to later, or even change it manually on DVN?
19:56 axfelix agreed
