hi all, We're going to change the EZID test account with the one we've bought. But some users have published their dataverse with the test account. Is it possible to unpublish dataverse ? or they'll be automaticaly unpublished when I'll change the EZID parameters ?

jri__: are these real datasets? Can they just be deleted?
14:23
jri__
pdurbin: yes they're real
14:24
jri__
people works on them for days
14:24
jri__
:/
14:24
pdurbin
you shouldn't use a test/fake DOI in a real publication
14:25
jri__
Yep I know they were supposed to wait that we've bought the real EZID account
14:25
pdurbin
it's easy to get excited about publishing data :)
14:27
jri__
Also my bad, I shoudn't have to give the permissions to publish
14:27
jri__
so there is no rollback ?
14:28

jri__: there's deaccessioning: http://guides.dataverse.org/en/4.3/user/dataset-management.html#deaccession-your-dataset-not-recommended
14:29
pdurbin
jri__: if you're in production, would you like your Dataverse installation listed on the map at http://dataverse.org ?
14:29
jri__
Thanks!
14:29
jri__
Oh yeah why not
14:30
jri__
Our production Dataverse is not fully official, it'll be in couple of days
14:31
pdurbin
jri__: ok, you can just let us know when you're ready by emailing support dataverse.org
14:31
pdurbin
no pressure :)
14:31
jri__
Ok :)
14:35
pdurbin
jri__: you could also email support for advice on your EZID situation.

pdurbin: quick question - any background on why datasetfieldtype of DATE is not treated as a date in the solr schema?
14:49
pdurbin
sadly, most dates are stored as strings in the database :(
14:50
bmckinney
i think _all_ dates actually
14:50
pdurbin
well, not create date on dvobjects
14:50
pdurbin
any maybe not publish date
14:52
pdurbin
bmckinney: in the indexing code, here's where I deal with the fact that dates are stored as strings: https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/blob/v4.3/src/main/java/edu/harvard/iq/dataverse/search/IndexServiceBean.java#L684
